Job Description

Salary: $88,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business technology, computer science, software engineering, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
• Strong IT skills and understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance principles.
• Ability to develop and carry out manual and automated testing strategies, plans, and test cases.
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills across various formats.
• Willingness to attend software quality assurance and insurance training classes.
• Experience in application or software testing or software development; two years of experience is preferred.
• Coursework in quality assurance is preferred.
• Experience in the insurance domain is preferred.
• Certification in quality assurance or testing methodologies is preferred.

• Ensure the quality, technical feasibility, and reliability of software and systems used by internal and external customers.
• Provide quality assurance guidance on software and system functionality and usability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and customers to understand business requirements.
• Participate in requirements-gathering sessions, assess testability, and help support feasible, high-quality releases.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities, and communicate plans, priorities, and risks to management, stakeholders, and project team members.
• Design, develop, and execute test strategies, plans, and cases.
• Analyze software and system components to identify discrepancies, defects, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Execute and maintain automated testing scripts.
• Manage defects by providing feedback, reporting issues, and forecasting completion timelines.
